FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do you do design or just install?
Both. We can work from your design, or build a plan with you that fits your yard, sun, and budget.
When's the best time to install a new lawn?
In the mid-Atlantic, fall (mid-August to mid-October) is best for cool-season grass seed. Sod can install year-round in most conditions.
Can you fix drainage issues?
Yes — French drains, downspout extensions, regrading, and dry wells. Most yard drainage issues come from grading, not from rainfall amount.
Do you do retaining walls?
Yes — block and natural-stone walls up to 4 feet without engineering, taller with engineered drawings.
Do you maintain landscaping after install?
We handle the install and one season of return visits if needed. Long-term lawn maintenance we typically refer out.
What plants do you recommend for shady yards in Bethesda or Potomac?
Hostas, hellebores, ferns, hydrangeas, and azaleas all do well in DC-metro shade. We'll talk through your specific exposure during the walk-through.
